Hello from the other siiiiiiide,
This week we had the opportunity to help Luis and Geane begin their marriage process. We went to the registry office with them to mark their wedding date. We called them in the morning of the day we were meant to go and nothing was going right! Geane was taking care of a sick child, they didn't have money to get the bus to meet us and a lot of other things. They are such an incredible family and I didn't want them to delay keeping this commandment any longer. We walked to their house and got everyone moving, got them on the bus and got to the registry office 20 minutes before it closed. In the end it all worked out and their wedding (and baptism) date is now marked for the 28th of November.

I was on division that day with a young man called Daniel. He loved the division so much that he is now doing a mini-mission (one transfer) in the Zone Itu! :D Luiz and Geane are an incredible couple. They know the church is true and have been making the changes necessary to their life in order to keep the commandments more fully. I love them! :)
Our district meeting on Tuesday was pretty fun. We had a special breakfast as it was two elders' birthdays. Yum! The Trujillo Zone is very united and it has lots of great missionaries, learning from all of them.

At the end of the activity we did a little physical activity called Podeball which ended in my very embarrasingly ripping my trousers in a very comical fashion. Worst thing about it is someone was recording the game on the exact moment. But I won't include that particular picture in the blog this time round. ;)

On Wednesday, we had an activity for recent-converts about family history. It was great to see so many recently baptised youth present and also Luiz and Geane's family. Best part of the activity: the refreshments. If there aren't refreshments then it isn't a Mormon activity! ;)

The guy in the stripped tie is Davi, our Ward Mission Leader. He's a nice guy who tried really hard to pull the activity together. It was a success!! :)
Sunday was the day of Maria Clara's baptism. She is a very special young woman. At the beginning she was very shy and unassuming but we got to know her better as we taught her and began seeing her great potential. Whenever we ask her to pray she gets a little shy but she gives incredible prayers which bring the spirit instantly to the room. Her granddad who is from another ward was present for the baptism, as well as plenty of youth who came along to show their love and support.

What a blessing to have helped this family these few weeks and to see their happiness grow and unity strengthen through the gospel. I am forever grateful for my parents and the family they built and raised in the gospel.
