Hey y'all!
What another great week it's been here in Jardim Modelo in the Jaçanã zone! :) On Tuesday we had a really fun Zone Meeting. To start off the meeting, Elder José and I organised a football game... without a ball. It will make sense in a bit. Everyone was a bit confused but believe it or not they had loads of fun running after and scoring goals with an imaginary ball. Afterwards we made the link to the gospel. We explained that much like football without a ball, baptism without confirmation does not make sense and is imcomplete. We helped them understand that they need to teach the importance of both ordenances to the investigators with the same emphasis. They all loved the pratical example and afterwards we played a game with a real ball. ;)

This week we met Célia, an 83 year-old lady with a youthful spirit. She knows that even though she has a lot of experience she needs to be born again in the waters and of the Holy Ghost. She went to church on Sunday and the sisters from the ward made her feel very welcome. She is excited to be baptised and be born again, even at the advanced age of 83! :D

This week I did some divisions with the elders in the zone. On Friday I went to Mairiporã with Elder Noblecía (he's from Mexico) and I fell in love with area. It's so green and pituresque, nothing like the capital here in São Paulo. :P I interviewed a man called Caio. He was hit by a car when he was 10 and was in a coma for 6 years! He has recovered well since and has a strong desire of following Christ.

Like I told you last week, Alcidis was looking forward to his baptism all week and yesterday he was baptised. His sister and his son who was also baptised were there and the meeting was very uplifting and spiritual. He is excited to receive the priesthood soon and continue on his church journey. :)

That's All Folks! :D Love, Elder Torres
