Shower of Blessings (Week 40)

Hello everyone!

We have seen a shower of blessings this week here in Horto Florestal. God has been so good to us!

Last Sunday we had the baptism of Rafaela - Gustavo and Henrique's sister. The Young Women's presidency was super happy as there are approximately 2 young women attending the ward. The baptism was great (they all are) and she was very welcomed by the members. :) Here are a few pictures!

And a funny one which represents this family PERFECTLY.

That Sunday a girl called Marjorye came to church with a member. She is 14 and has been going to seminary for 2 months now in another ward. We thought she was a member! Marisa, the young women's counselor, presented us to her and we quickly marked a day to go visit her and her family.

The next day we went to her house and got to know her and her family a little better. What a great family! She lives with her grandmother and great-grandparents. We taught them the Restoration and everyone understood it and felt the spirit. It is always so great to teach that first lesson, the truthfulness of it is felt by all those who listen with an open heart. We presented the Book of Mormon and they were very excited to read it! Marjorye already knew a bunch! We invited her to be baptised on Saturday the same week and she accepted! Here's a picture of the family. She's the girl with the blue top behind her great grandma. :)

Later that week we visited the Severino family. Sadly Luiz Gabriel and Isabela didn't go to church again but we talked with them and promised them many blessings. We had a wonderful time with their family and had a good laugh! Big families are the BEST! ;) We remarked their baptismal dates for the 5th of June and Carina (the mother) accepted too!!! Please pray it will all work out well! :)

In the middle of the week I got a little surprise in the shape of a box! It was from my awesome friends Sarah and Bahareh. Now I got a few more journals to write (and draw) in and my comps got to try a few European sweets! THANKS GUYS!!!! :D

So today was the day! Marjorye was baptised!! Even though she didn't want too many people present at the baptism, we thought not a lot of people would be able to come as it was Saturday afternoon. In the beginning it was our small little group, including her aunts and Marisa, the YW counselor.
