My wonderful family and friends!

This week's blog will be quite short because my time is running out! This week wasn't as eventful as usual because I'm in the office and that's not very interesting to you all! But we still had many great moments and clear blessings from the Lord.

To fill you in the progress of that ELECT family we found last week, they all went to church! We got there Sunday morning and they were all dressed and ready to go. We walked with them to church, even João, their granddad. He is energetic and very sensitive to the Spirit every time we go there. We got to church before anyone else and the mother of the family took every one and sat on one of the front rows. Her attitude was amazing for someone who's never been to the church or knew anyone. Paulo and Erik, two young men from the family decided they would sit on the back row so after several unsuccessful attempts at bringing them to the front I just sat with them the whole meeting. I taught them to read the Hymn book and although they were a bit embarrassed to sing church hymns in front of each other they learned pretty quickly were singing confidently by the end.

During the sacrament, Eric didn't partake of the bread. I realised we hadn't explained very well the significance of the sacrament and I told him that he was allowed to take the bread too. He replied: "I'm not hungry". It was funny but then I explained quietly to him that the bread represented the body and the water the blood of Christ. When the water came round afterwards he drank it without me saying anything. It taught me to teach the Sabbath Day better so our investigators don't think the sacrament is a cheap refreshment we hand out at the start of meetings.

They all loved church and the next day when we went to visit the family they all spoke wonders of the church. Josy, the 17 year girl we first met, took us around the viela and knocked on all her friends and family's houses and asked: "Can we come in to say a prayer?" And when we asked her to share what she thought of church she said: "It was wonderful!" It was great to hear an investigator share her small testimony to others.

That's all for this week!

Love you all!!
