Bom diaaaaa família and friends!
How is everything on the other side of the pond? Here in Brazil things are going great! Hmm.. Where to begin?
Well, this Tuesday we had an amazing day! We looked through our Area Book and found lots Teaching Records of old investigators who had been taught by the missionaries but for some reason had stopped being visited. Being guided by the Spirit we picked a small selection of families to visit that same day. That day we made 10 new investigators and marked 9 baptism dates for the upcoming weeks! One particular family we found was a mother and her daughter Juliana (10 years old). They had been taught by the missionaries and had gone to church a few months back. When we got there we were well received and had a wonderful lesson! The mother said Juliana could be baptised and gave her permission. Every time we go there she and her two nieces give us a little concert and sing a few evangelical songs to set the mood. It's super sweet and really lifts our spirits! Juliana was interviewed but her baptism didn't work out for last week, let's pray it all goes to plan this week! She is very smart and is learning quickly. :)
Do you all remember Erik, Antony and Ryan, the three brothers? Well, this week we managed to talk a bit more with their mother and had some very good lessons. They are learning super fast! We taught them the Plan of Salvation and a few days later they even remembered the Veil of Forgetfulness and the names of the 3 kingdoms of glory. They are 13, 11 and 10 years old! On Saturday we talked with their mother and she said that all week they had been saying they want to be baptised and that she would (finally) let them be baptised. I know the Lord heard our prayers and is about to start something very big in the lives of these boys. Their baptism is going to be on Wednesday and it's going to be very special!
I am grateful for the spiritually growing experiences I am having and for the chance to represent my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ everyday for 2 years.
